This hotel is situated in a quiet area and is conveniently located close to the old town bridge and within walking distance of the main sights. the room is stylishly decorated and comfortable with a well-appointed bathroom. the breakfast is delicious and well-prepared with a variety of selections to choose from. the staff is welcoming and focused on your comfort and enjoyment.
One area for improvement would be the limited menu options in the restaurant.

exceptionally pleasant ambience on a high quality standard
the shower - in the chosen apartment - was difficult and could only be used with extreme caution, since it was in a bathroom with sloping walls. But the bathroom had daylight.

During my stay at this hotel over the Christmas period, I enjoyed the beautiful and well-presented breakfast. The variety and quality of the food offered were exceptional. the hotel is well located, as it is within walking distance to the main attractions and places of interest. The hotel's peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax during my visit.
The amenities in my room were not up to par. The toiletries were not replenished daily, the TV channels were limited, and there were no tea/coffee facilities or ironing equipment in the room.

We loved the hotel's historic charm, with uniquely decorated rooms and a thoughtful welcome gift. The location was great, in a green area close to the old town bridge and an easy walk to downtown. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of fresh options and attentive staff.
Nothing for us.

A very warm welcome awaited us and the attention to detail set this hotel above most we have stayed at, including a name plate at our door with our name on it. A welcome drink of our choice was brought to us upon our arrival. The in-house restaurant was excellent, the food beautifully prepared and presented and the service impeccable. Our suite was furnished with antiques but above all extremely roomy and comfortable. The setting, across the river from the "old town" was quiet and peaceful but still only a ten minute leisurely walk away. We highly recommend this hotel.
The only things that would enhance the experience would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a dvd player with dvd's available for non-German speaking guests.

The lovely family who own the hotel, and also their warm and friendly staff. The Gourmet restaurant is world class, and is far superior to many of the Michelin-rated places we have visited.

Nice ambiance, typical 'classic German romantic' style. Place has been there since 15th century, the restaurant still breathes that atmosphere, and has an excellent quality kitchen. Staff is superfriendly. Rooms are outdated for business standards, but in good shape and clean.
It's not a business hotel - don't expect a modern looking design hotel with business features. Yet, given it's scope and style, there's really nothing negative about the Hirschgasse. It's a bit far from the old centre, about a 15 min walk.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. The location of this place was perfect, nestled in a green area close to the old town bridge. It provided a peaceful and tranquil environment, away from any loud church ringing bells. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, they were gracious and attentive, ensuring that all of my needs were met. The room amenities were top-notch, with a mini-bar, sitting area, and even a dining table on the patio. The attention to detail in the room, from the carpeted floor to the parquet floor, added to the luxurious feel. I also appreciated the free toiletries provided, as well as the am/fm alarm clock and flat-screen TV. the room was excellent and provided a comfortable and relaxing environment.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay. The combination of the beautiful location, exceptional service, and top-notch room amenities makes this venue a standout choice.

The character of the hotel was remarkable. It was built in 1472 as the first hotel in Heidelberg. The decor was lovely. We had a sitting room and a separate bedroom. The owner's wife was very friendly, and she managed our baggage for us.
ROOM: It was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. The bathroom floor was very dirty, there was mold in the shower and a spider came out of the drain in the sink. There were cobwebs and dead bugs between the pieces of furniture. There was thick dust along the baseboards. DINING ROOM: The waitress did not speak English well enough to take our dinner order. The English menu was very vague, in spite of the fact that the owner's wife is English. We needed to make several requests to get someone who could help us order. Breakfast was not included in the room rate, and the cost of it was exorbitant for a meal which was not anything more special than a continental breakfast. There wasn't anywhere else to go for breakfast without an expensive cab ride. The only way from the reception/business area to other parts of the main level is through the dining room, which is small. This continual foot traffic while we were eating was very annoying. INTERNET: In addition to the breakfast which was not included, there was a charge for use of the Internet.

The hotel is a bit outside of the old centre - 10-15 minutes on foot. That makes it quiet and also suitable for walks around Heidelberg. Staff are relaxed and very friendly. The good athmosphere among them will undoubtedly be transposed to guests. A dinner in the gourmet restaurant is priced accordingly - but rarely have I experienced such delight. It is worth it. Food quality in the "Stube" is not to be sniffed at either.... Rooms are decorated beautifully - clean and luxurious. All that one would expect for the price is there. I can recommend the Hirschgasse Hotel.
